36 weeks, 2 days

Got my h1n1 on monday! We waited 4 hrs in line today at a synagogue 30 min away and luckily got one of the last shots for kai wahoo! Now he only needs 2 more lol... poor kid. Anyway, time for this baby to come already.. I think i'm starting to waddle EEK! Here's my latest belly... seems a lot smaller than my Kai belly.

Did I Get Bonked On The Head?

No... it's just pregnancy brain. I've been sitting here for about 10 min trying to remember what we did this morning and nothing is coming to me. I remember eating a waffle...and then... nothing. I might have to start blogging twice a day HAHAHA. Well at least I am amused by myself I guess. Oh I do also remember playing "flick the spider" with Kai. He prings me his two little spiders that he won at Chuck E. Cheese the other day and I say "eww gross!" with a scrunched up face and fling them across the room and he cracks up. After nap time we ordered a pizza from Domino's since daddy is working late and the two of us ate the majority of our large thin crust. When we finished pigging out our neighbor came over and the boys "played," which mostly involved Kai grabbing whatever Logan wanted to play with or pushing him away. I really hope this stage doesn't last too long because he'd be having way more fun if he wasn't sitting in time out all the time. Tomorrow I think we will be heading down to the DC area with a possible visit to my brother. I guess we'll just see how it goes and maybe try to do something that's fun for Kai. I'm off to check on the shrimp that appeared to be wedged between 2 rocks about an hour ago. Hopefully she was just having a snooze!

PlayGroups Or PlayGround

On both tuesday and thursday Kai and I went to playgroups. Tuesdays is the 3 year old group. I actually really like everyone who's been there... I'm not sure they like us, but they have been very nice and welcoming. Kai has been on a bit of a crazy streak. If another kid walks over to him, he for some reason expects that they are going to take away whatever he is playing with, so instead of waiting to see what will happen, he preemptivvely pushes them. It's really making him out to look like a bully when I know he's not. Hopefully this overcompensation for being bullied himself in the past will crank back the other way again when he realizes the kids in the group are nice. So far the kids around here all seem really well behaved... there've been a few exceptions, but I'm pretty amazed. The 24-36 mongh playgroup yesterday was ok. It was kind of awkward at the beginning cause the other moms knew each other and kind of talked to each other, but once more people got there it was a little better. I also had to keep moving all around to continually discipline Kai so that didn't really help the friend making. I probably wouldn't go to that one again. We are hosting the 3 year old group at our house next week and people actually signed up to come so hopefully that will go well. I'm not sure about this whole playgroup thing in general though... I'll give it a chance, but I think maybe I'll be better at meeting people at playgrounds... it ends up being more 1 on 1 which I like. I'm pretty easy to get along with so hopefully we will have some friends soon. We love hanging out with Meredith and her kids but she works part time so we can't hang out as much as we'd like. We also like Melissa and Bennett, who are coming this weekend yay! But they also both work, so it's hard to meet more than once a month. Oh well I guess we'll see how the spring goes =). Last night we went to Chuck E. Cheese...Kai loves that place. We went to the one in Laurel which I liked better than the last one we went to. It was well lit and more open and not nearly as hot inside. Kai got 2 plastic spiders with the tickets he and daddy won. This morning my dollar store test was really dark yay!

Happily Tired

I feel like I have pregnancy brain already... I can't even remember what I did this morning. I think I worked on some annoying bills and cleaned up. I also made my first appointment for the 30th yay =). Kai and I had a nice nap in the afternoon... I think we woke up around 2:30 or 3. We went to Dollar Tree to buy some pregnancy tests just incase i felt concerned but they were out of them so we just bought a giant slimey centipede instead. I think I'll just wait for my blood test which i think will be in a week or 2 and see what my levels are. I'm feeling good today... nice and pregnant =). I still feel like it's a girl. I went grocery shopping and used the little hand scanny thing that you carry around the store. I kept just putting things in the bag and it turns out I bought cookies, crumb cake, M&Ms, pepermint candies, and apples. At least the apples are healthy lol. I'm really into cookies and pastas these days. I can't believe how fast that happened... I feel like it took longer last time. With Kai i ate chicken for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and like a pound of cheese every 3 days hahaha gross. After the grocery store we went to the park and then I came home and cooked meatloaf, veggies and roasted potatoes. I'm gonna try to stay mostly healthy but we'll see =P. Jordan's been really good since he got home helping out with dishes and Kai so I can have a rest. Sounds like Kai is making trouble in the bath though so I better be off =).

Happy, Sad, And A Trip To The Zoo

Today has been a day of crazy mixed emotions. I'm so happy that I'm pregnant, but I also feel sad that there are so many people who want it just as badly as me, and it's not fair that sometimes it's difficult. I feel selfish asking God to watch over me and my baby when there are so many who need those prayers more than me. All the babies born into disease and starvation, and those that are lost too early... sometimes I wonder how things like that are even possible. Coping with loss and difficult times is so hard and not being able to help or say anything to fix it is so frustrating. I know without sadness we would never feel joy, but that doesn't make it any easier. Tonight I am praying for everyone who has had to suffer through the loss of a child, no matter what the age, hoping that God gives them strength.

In other news, we made our first trip to the National Zoological Park. It was actually really nice! We saw tons of animals including pandas, gorillas, lions, tigers, wallabys, elephants, and a komodo dragon. Most were pretty close up, which was cool (yes the apes in this picture are walking right over my head). There were a lot of people so we had to park a few blocks away since the lots were full, but the walk wasn't too bad and it was definitely worth it. We are definitely looking forward to going back again. There were a bunch of things we didn't even get to see and we were there for at least a few hours. Kai was up and down today. He enjoyed seeing some of the animals, but didn't really get a proper nap today and so was extra fussy when it came to listening to mommy. Next time I think we will try to get there really early. I think Kai would be in a better mood and I think the animals might wander around more if there was less of a crowd. Tomorrow I will call my ob to make my 1st appointment.

P is for ...

PREGNANT!! woowoo!! I am sooo excited! I thank God every day for having such a wonderful family, and to be blessed with another child is just so amazing. I felt so lucky when I found out I was pregnant with Kai and I feel exactly the same right now. =) Thanks Lisa for "making me" test early lol. It's such a relief to know! I am now really enjoying all my cramps and sore boobs. As of now I'm predicting a girl... I feel like I could just eat cookies all day and I'd be the happiest person ever LOL. So besides finding out about being impregnated, today was also awesome because it was like 70 degrees out. This morning we went to Bob Evans to celebrate (actually mostly because I was starving and ran out of my unhealthy breakfast foods) and then we spent most of the rest of the morning driving around in search of this amazing playground we found back when Jordan was interviewing at Hopkins. After 2 or 3 failed attempts, I finally took over the Garmin and was able to find the correct one, along with Jordan's great memory that there was a Target nearby. We will definitely be going back there. Tomorrow we are going to head down to the DC zoo. The weather is supposed to be great again and I'm really looking forward to being outside =). I think Kai is gonna love it! All I have to say is YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

The Waiting Game

I hate this game... very frustrating to not know. I'm not sure what women used to do before the days of 20 mIU/ml HCG tests. With Kai I had a lot of restraint somehow and didn't test until 18 dpo.. maybe cause we were poor then, or maybe cause I didn't know 90 cent internet pregnancy tests existed. I'm only 10 dpo and have already take 2.... I think it's a + (!!) but can't tell for sure yet. I'm waiting to tell my fam until I get a real line. I took this pic quite a bit after the recommended reaction time. Anyway, I guess the days go pretty fast anyway. This morning I folded a million loads of laundry and played Bembo's Zoo with Kai (http://www.bemboszoo.com/ thanks to uncle tre). Kai is getting pretty good withthe mouse. He can get it over the letter he wants to click and can click on it about 1/2 the time... pretty cool. I don't think I used a mouse until I was in 1st grade computers class. He's getting really big now and can do so much. He's really excited about having a new baby (says he wants a sister) and he also likes the name that's on the top of our list right now. Kai had a good nap and I actually woke up before him for once. He was so cute sleeping on the bed with kitty... I think i could watch him all day. It reminds me of when he was a baby and jordan and I would smell his breath when he slept with his mouth open. It smelled so good like vanilla... I don't think i'll ever forget that smell. This afternoon we walked to a park with our neighbor which was fun. We hadn't been to that park yet. It was nice, except wooden playgrounds make me a little nervous since I remember getting tons of splinters as a kid. It was also more remote than the one we usually go to, which is right across from an elementary school. This evening we are being lazy... or I am anyway. I had a pretty bad headache a little while ago (hopefully cause I'm the big P?) so I ate left overs, made Kai a frozen pizza, and turned on the tv haha. Daddy is working late tonight, but the weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend, so I'm really looking forward to some quality family time =). As my blog title says, my fam is everything to me and it's been hard for me and kai having to be away from daddy a bunch. We're thinking of moving closer to his work at some point so he can spend his hour commute with us instead =). Time to stop being lazy and play now!

Catching Up

We had a fun couple days with my parents here. My mom hung out with me and Kai on Tues and Wed. Kai is looking really huge in this picture with her. We met some new relatives on Thus. They came over for lunch and were really nice. I think they are probably 5-10 yrs older than my parents. I'm getting more into cooking and find myself wishing I knew how to make more things... I always fall back on chicken cutlets and some sort of pasta because I know they will come out good. The heart healthy bisquick mix is also one of my fav things... biscuits take about 2 min to mix up. Anyway, on Friday, my parents and I went to Centennial Park and played on the playground and wandered around a little.

Then we went out to eat at Ruby Tuesday which was nice and in the evening we went to the Science Museum. The free imax this week was the Bayou, which was about hurricane Katrina, and raising awareness about the wetlands or whatever they are called that are disappearing around New Orleans. I liked it a lot, and Kai did fine even though it was a more serious topic. The story followed a young girl who is a pro fiddle player so there was a bunch of music. We went to breakfast at Bob Evans on Sat before my parents left... I love that place... breakfast all day and the food is always yummy. Anyway, it was great to have them visit. Kai always has a blast with them and Daisy of course. It was nice to have some calm time over the weekend though cause it's always busy and crazy when my fam visits. We went to splash down (an indoor water park) which was nice cause there's was a very shallow baby pool which Kai could pretty much manage on his own. I was expecting more from an indoor water park. There were only 2 tube slides and then a rope swing and some lap pools. I guess it's fun if you are bored in the winter but I wouldn't exactly call that a "water park." More like a swim center plus 2 water slides. We'll probably go back though... jordan really enjoyed the slides. I decided not to go on them just incase i'm pregnant. If I'm not though I might have to try it next week =). On Monday it snowed a bunch... maybe 5 inches?? We went outside and played with the neighbors which was fun. Kai kept belly flopping into the snow. The 3 boys were really cute. Hopefully I'll get to hang out more with them this summer. I've been hibernating a lot this winter and I know they go out the the gym and to playgroups a bunch. This week Kai and I went to a 3 year old playgroup. I've been having a really hard time deciding what to do with him. When we go to groups with younger kids (2 and under) he ends up just playing by himself cause he really doesn't connect with the other kids, and he likes playing with more complicated toys or being really crative with setting up trains or characters. We've played with a few kids who are older (3 yr range) and he has played really well with them, so that's why I wanted to try the 3 year group. Some of the time, I think it was good for him, like when he was playing this alphabet laptop game with one of the boys, but at other times he really just acts like a 2 year old, since he is one (not respecting personal space, pushingkids out of the way, tantrums). Most of his "2 year oldness" seems to come out when he's playing with trains. Unfortunately the house we were at had a train table. He just gets so obsessed with them that he can't play with anything else or interact with the other kids. I think this group would be good for him though and the moms were really nice. Hopefully in the spring we will be going outside a lot and haveing the meetups outside too and some of this train craziness will subside. He always has a HUGE tantrum when we have to leave someone else's train table, which I've found dificult to deal with. I really want him to understand what I'm saying to him, but he obviously is only 2. I suppose this will get better over time. Yesterday we visited Lisa, which was a lot of fun. We went grocery shopping, and she made us the best pancakes I've ever had... I ate so many I felt like barfing. We also played in the snow and on the new playground thing they have at her place. Kai had a great time... send me those pictures if you're reading this Lisa! =) I'm praying we both get out +'s tomorrow! My boobs are sore and bigger and I'm tired and crampy so hopefully thats a good sign... thought I had a very faint + today, but it's questionable. The waiting part is horrible. Kai says i'm gonna have twins lol... we'll see. Today was a lazy / laundry day... I've been exhausted, so it was nice to just catch up on relaxing and get things cleaned up around here a little. I'm pretty sure we will do the same tomorrow, although maybe we will venture out to the park or the mall playground if it's cold. More tomorrow...

Family and Stuff

Yesterday most of my day was spent cleaning so not much excitement. Kai seems to have calmed down a little after a few days of time outs. He's definitely still doing things just because he knows I want him to do the opposite, but I feel like I'm gaining control again haha...we'll see. I also went for my routine ob/gyn appt. I liked the doc a lot (Capital Women's Care in Clarksville), although she did stick her finger up my ass, which was slightly weird but much less uncomfortable than i had imagined. She said I should chart a few more months and if things are still crazy and I'm not gettin P (my term for pregnant) then she could give me clomid which apparently stimulates ovulation. Hopefully we'll just be lucky this month though and i won't have to worry about that =). I still haven't o'd though and it's cd23... uggh. The stress of 2 year old tantrums must be getting to me =p haha. In happier and less weird news, my parents are visiting. My mom brought kai a bunch of new clothes for the summer which was cool and of course a few presents (activity books and a the little mermaid movie). We watched part of the movie this morning which I think i enjoyed way more than kai and then we napped while my mom went to the wilmur eye clinic to get her freaky eye disease checked... turns out she has constricted blood vessels or something and the lack of blood flow is causing the retina to deteriorate. I guess there's no treatment at the moment but if she develops scar tissue there is a treatment for that... so for now it's just waiting. This afternoon my dad headed down to DC for his conference and my mom and kai and I ventured out to Bertucci's, Home Depot, and BJs. I'm sad to say my little christmas tree is not doing so well... it's all brown and droopy. I bought it a new pot today and some nice new dirt, so hopefully it will come back to life. Apparently i was drowning it too cause when i went to re-pot it, the little paper that was covering its old pot was full of water =\ oops! Poor little plant... please say a prayer for it! BJs was cool... i really like costco better, but bjs did carry a different selection of foods and things that i really like. They also had a ton more stuff for babies (food, pottys, formulas, diapers). Costco has a much smaller selection of baby stuff and carries no foods. Costco is a lot bigger, more organized, and cleaner looking. Not sure how the prices differed... i might have to look into that. I have the option of getting either membership so I'll have to think about it. This evening we just relaxed and Kai played with his trains. I'm pretty exhausted. I'll add my pictures later. 10pm... so early... but yet falling asleep. Later peeps!

Sunday, February 22, 2009

Yesterday morning we went to the tot shabbat at Temple Isaiah. Kai had a lot of fun. There were two three year old boys that he ran around with. The woman played guitar and sang and read them a story. The kids were a little wild but it was still fun and the parents were friendly. After that they did a craft and ate cookies and juice. Kai chose a pink crown and decorated it with a bunch or circles and stars. We will probably go again next month... it's the 3rd saturday every month i think. We just hung out here in the evening. I finally got an opk strip that i decided to call + but it was my last one so I have no way of checking. Temp was up a little today but will need to see what happens tomorrow. My parents are visiting this week so we are looking forward to that. We are going to try to do some stuff around Baltimore / Columbia, which reminds me i need to check which imax is playing this friday!

Dinner and an IMAX

Kai was in a mad tantrum phase again yesterday. After about 5 time outs in the am, I resorted to banning Thomas and golf for the day. I spent like an hour cutting out some trains from paper and decorating them with him and when we were done he had a tantrum, screamed he didn't like them, and threw things all over the place... Things went much better after the Thomas ban. We read some books, played with some non-thomas toys, ate some lunch, and fell asleep watching Finding Nemo. When we woke up daddy called and we decided to meet him at the Maryland Science Center in the Inner Harbor. We got really good parking right across light st. Kai and I looked at the dinosaurs which he loved and then moved on the the Kid's room. He played with the pin thing again and then we discovered the big water trough with boats and stuff and he played there until Daddy showed up. We checked out a few more things and then walked to UNO in the freezing cold and got a pizza for take out. We ate it on a bench in the little mall thing and then ran back to catch the 7pm IMAX which is free on Fridays. They were showing Antarctica, which I wasn't sure Kai would like but he ended up really liking it, especially the penguins and seals... the only problem was he kept yelling things out and pointing lol, but I think we can do this again =). In other updates opk still neg yesterday... not sure what's going on... i'm on cd 20 and i only have 1 o test left (i had 10)... weird. That's all for now.

Wall Art

Also known as Kai's smiley face art in black crayon on my bedroom wall, the shower stall glass, and the train table. Today we just sat around, cleaned, and played. I think the art made its appearance on my walls sometime around 11am when I was cleaning the kitchen. Jordan got home early today which was nice. He and Kai roller skated in the back for a little while and then came in and played, so I was actually able to take a relaxing shower. I definitely didn't shower since the pool cause i still smelled like chlorine haha. We watched LOST after Kai went to bed. I have always gotten scared very easily by tv so lost is about the limit of what i will watch, and i would never watch it without jordan. I kind of don't like the show, but i also want to know what's going to happen.. uggh. =) Ok boring post... i'm out!

Moody Monday (on a Wednesday)

Today was a big cranky day... I kind of thought Kai was getting sick but he seemed fine tonight so who knows. Jordan worked from home in the morning. We attempted to take Kai swimming around 11:30 but he just started shivering and didn't want to swim, so I took him out gave him a hot shower and dressed him. We then took turns swimming laps for about 10 min each. It was kid of fun, but it made me super hungry and sleepy. We came home and ate and napped. Kai was in a better mood after that but of course didn't want to get his shoes and coat on as usual when we had to bring Fiona to the airport. I'm kind of tired of the constant fights to get him dressed... I need to think up a new plan for that, I suppose involving some sort of distraction. Jordan got home at a good time today but I was pooped and Kai was in a mood again, so he took over. Kai had asked me to draw him a Thomas picture and i drew it like 3 times each followed by a hysterical crying fit saying "I don't like it"... guess my drawing skills aren't good enough for a 2 year old. That was when i gave up and banned AquaDoodle for the night. Jordan then played some computer games with him and when that was over we made kai go to bed early. Jordan fell asleep while we were putting him to bed so that's it for the night I suppose. I'm awake and bored though so now i need to amuse myself till i'm tired enough to fall asleep. No pictures today... we'll see how tomorrow goes. Gonna just sit at home all day i think... recoup from this weeks adventures. Laters.

DC Adventures

Today we spent the day in DC. We stopped at a Dunkin Donuts on the way and went through the drive thru and they somehow confused our order with someone else's even though all we ordered was a medium french vanilla coffee. When I got to the pickup window, they told me it was $8 and three different people asked me if I ordered a bagel before finally understanding all we ordered was the coffee which really smelled nothing like french vanilla (it was for fiona so i didn't actually taste it). We then drove around looking for parking for a good 15-20 min and just as we were getting to a lot we finally found a meter, so that was some good luck. After parking we jogged to the National Archives to prevent Fiona from peeing herself. Kai (after insisting he didn't have to) also let out quite a large volume of "peeps." The National Archives is always cool... all those crusty old papers on which our country is based. It's awesome that we can still go look at them after so many years. Kai was amused for about half the loop and then we walked around stepping on all the circles on the floor. Next we ate some lunch on a stone wall outside the archives, fed the meter, and headed off to the Smithsonian American Art Museum. There were some awesome photos in the portrait gallery including some celebs that I really enjoyed. They were huge blow ups and you could see every detail of their faces. My favs were Angelina Jolie and the one of these 4 guys one of which was the dark haired guy from Jurassic Park. There was also a weird sculpture of a temple or something made of aluminum foil...very odd.. After the art museum we wasted the rest of our meter time walking around on the mall. It turned out to be a beautiful day and Kai enjoyed looking through all the rocks on the path (which also made for very slow walking.) The last things we did were a quick drive by of the White House and find a new parking space to walk to the Lincoln Memorial. There was an especially beautiful view that day. The sky was very blue and the reflecting pool looked amazing. Unfortunately, I left my camera in the car for that part of the trip.. The drive home was way better than i had imagined. I think we left DC around 4:15 and got to Columbia just about 1 hr later. We stopped to get some groceries on the way home. Kai had fallen asleep in the car so I threw him in my baby ergo carrier (mentioning the name here because i LOVE this carrier), thinking he'd wake up a few minutes later, but no, he slept through the entire shopping experience which made getting a giant bucket of kitty litter into the cart quite a challenge... thank goodness fiona was with me or I think i probably would've given up and left the bucket in the middle of the aisle =). So after a day of WAAAY more exercise than I've been doing during this lazy winter hibernation, I threw together some fish cutlets, ate, and headed to bed with Kai while my husband and sil headed out on a mission to find some cookies. I think that was around 8pm which is why I'm now up at 4am doing this. Also I temp at random times during the night cause that's the only way I can manage to do it after a significant stretch of sleep. I was expecting my shift but nothing, so I guess better keep trying for a few more days. I was way too tired last night and trying in the am has been a bad idea so far since the little monkey wants to be in whatever room we are in. That's about it for yesterday. Peace.

Park and a Snooze

Today was a lazy day. We actually walked to the park this morning and played for a long while. It was freezing and we didn't bring a stroller so I ended up carrying Kai all the way back. Got a good work out from that. We took the bike path on the way there and I got some really nice pictures. The sky was very pretty today and the light was good. After the park we ate lunch and then took a loooong nap. Kai actually ate a lot today so I was happy. I think we woke up around 5:30 PM haha! Aunt Fiona was a good babysitter today... I think Kai is excited to spend time with someone other than Mommy. I set them up with paints while I cooked dinner. This evening we were going to go swimming but decided the park was enough exercise for the day. Tomorrow I am off to DC to show Fiona the sights. Hopefully that will be fun. My opk was really light today so we'll see if i have a temp shift tomorrow. Laters alligators!

Oh Fussy Days

Since I was too tired to do this last night i'll post now. Kai was acting extra 2-year-oldish yesterday. In the morning when we were trying to clean up the house he had lots of tantrums and was running wild. It the age for this, but it makes those days extra long. He also managed to get into the laundry basket and pull all the clothes out. At some point in the morning I slammed my finger in our sandwich maker while cleaning it. I guess i bruised my thumb bone cause i still can't bend it great. We picked up my sister in law at 11:45. She is here for 4 days which is nice =). We ventured to the Baltimore science museum and became members. Looks like kai will have a lot of fun there. There's a kids room with lots of hands on stuff. You know those things with all the pins in it that you can press your hand (or face) into to make an impression? Well there's one of those but it's HUGE like maybe 5ft x 5ft. That was fun for our entire family =). There was also one of those message tubes like the drive trough bank tellers have and a video thing where you could see yourself on tv. I also noticed a train table on the way out but decided not to point it out to my son as we were trying to leave, not get him hooked for 5 hrs. After that we grabbed some lunch at a seafood place which was great. I forget what it was called but it was right next to the science museum. I feel like Kai hasn't eaten anything in days. Yesterday he had some goldfish for lunch and some apple sauce for dinner... not sure what's going on but hopefully whatever it is will pass soon. After we relaxed at home a little, Gerald came over. I don't think we've seen him since his wedding in June 07. We went to our favorite restaurant, Bankok Delight (in Columbia). Kai knocked over Garald's glass right into his food hahaha... poor Gerald. We had a good time though and the guys came back and played Wii all night. The muliplayer feature of mario cart (through the internet) is pretty amusing. In other news, my opk seemed lighter than the day before so I guess I'll see how today's looks... may have missed the surge, but that's ok cause we've been keepin the bases covered this month =). I had a temp dip of about .3-.4C this morning also which could indicate ovulation if i get a rise tomorrow. Well, I'm off to make corn muffins for the babe. More later.

Valentine's Day Outings

Last night i wrapped up a bunch of art supplies i had bought for Kai, so he could open them today. He really loves opening stuff so he had a great time. He used all the art stuff to make a card for a little girl's third bday that we went to this afternoon and also did some paintings. Jordan gave me some beautiful flowers and a really sweet card. I'm lucky to have someone like him... he's really thoughtful =). Around 11 we all went swimming. Daddy and Kai decided to try on their goggles before they left and got a little silly. Kai loves dunking his head underwater now and swims till he's shivering. He fell asleep in the car on the way to the birthday party and napped for a good 30 min at the party while the other kids were running by. He had lots of fun playing tea party with the older girls that were there. He stood there for the longest time pretending to take the lid off the teapot, pour the tea, drink the tea, and put the lid back on the pot... very cute. On the way home we went to the library. Kai finally let me actually read him some books while we were there. He loves reading but gets really distracted by other kids. The evening had been nice... relaxing, ordering out for pizza, and playing with Kai. Hopefully he will head to bed early tonight so mommy and daddy can work on his brother or sister ;). OPK was darker today but no surge yet. It was fun seeing a lot of small babies at the party today. I definitely miss it and can't wait to experience the whole thing again. Hopefully God will bless us with another. Still praying every day that me and Lisa get to do this together! =) k, I'm out!

The things i say...

I was going to write the context next to these but decided they will be more humorous if left to the imagination...

UPDATE - I will now include things my family says as well

"One of us has gotta be on top" - Steph
"Hey guys, lets tickle" - Kai

Intro .. sort of

I chose to entitle my blog "life goes on" because that's generally how i feel about things. everything we do or experience is a part of the cycle of life, and whatever happens, good or bad, i believe in stuff working out however it's supposed to. God has a plan for me... anyway, i will record some of the details of our family's journey here, mostly for fun, but partly for my husband and son to read later when God gives us some time to be bored =) I also called my blog website myfamismyworld. I guess I've always felt like people in my life come and go but family is forever. Of course i love my friends as well and even strangers... but my strength and goodness comes from my family, especially my husband who is my best friend and my son who reminds me to enjoy life. They make me a better person.

Today was an art day. Kai and I painted, played with sand (yes inside the house), and made Vday cards with glitter glue. There was a lot of mess but also a lot of fun. I like to be really oc about keeping things clean but i think it's good to try to let things like that go sometimes... gotta live life and worry less =P. Kai ate half a chicken quesadilla for lunch so we're making progress with eating. We also made granola cookies and brought some to the neighbors. Kai of course played with the neighbor's trains and then had a big tantrum when we had to leave. We were going to meet daddy at the library but it closed too early so instead we went to target and got roller blades haha! I just though of a great idea. I say the stupidest things all the time so I am going to dedicate a post to these things.... look for it!

later peeps.
